MIRIAM TO TEACH AND PERFORM SPECIAL CONCERT IN VENTURA, CALIFORNIA"
"Wandering in the Now:"
A Special Pre-Passover Event of Learning, Music, and Story with
Miriam Maron and Gershon Winkler
Thursday evening March 25, 2010 at 6:30 PM
At Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothills Road, Ventura, CA
Passover is not so much a celebration of the Jewish exodus from Egyptian bondage some 3300 years ago as it is a commemoration of the most crucial phase in the evolution of the Jewish people: the subsequent forty-year walkabout in the desert. So vital is the story of the desert trek that it occupies 75% of the narrative of the Torah, the most important body of sacred wisdom for the Jewish people. More space is allotted for the account of the ancient Israelites being led through that vast barren wilderness than for the numerous miraculous feats performed on their behalf in preparation for their redemption from slavery. Obviously, what appears as a more important story and lesson, wrote the famous Jewish philosopher Rabbi Martin Buber, “is not the history of the exodus, but the history of the wandering in the desert” (Biblical Leadership, published in Israel and the World: Essays in a Time of Crisis [Schocken:1948], p. 125). |

The 2009 Annual Wisdom Gathering:
A JOURNEY INTO THE WORLD OF KARMA
With Rabbi Miriam Maron, Leanne Keiser, Rabbi Gershon Winkler,
Carlson, Lench Archuleta, Kevin Kaiser, Leland Kaiser, and others.
November 2-4, 2009
at "The Crossings" in Austin, Texas
This year we explore the mysteries of why things happen.
We journey into the roots of repeating patterns, cause and
effect cycles, and consequence. We look at seeds we sow through
our own action as well as seeds generated by larger groups, or
originating before birth in our ancestral DNA. We question
seeming twists of fate. Connect what appears unrelated. See
paths of learning. And we explore how to accelerate, mitigate,
and ultimately use karma to shape our destiny.

RABBI GERSHON WINKLER'S INTENSIVE
"SEFER YETZIRAH SERIES" IN BERKELEY CONTINUES...
FEBRUARY 21-22
Sponsored by Wisdom-Heart Community and JACTS
A bold venture into one of the
oldest and most cryptic codes of
ancient Jewish mystery wisdom.
Sefer Yetzirah is the earliest known written source for what later became
known as the Kabbalah. It is replete with aboriginal Jewish knowledge around
sorcery, angelic forces, earth spirits, astrology, numerology, the four
directions, and the mysteries of Creation. Believed to originate in the
early mystery schools of Enoch, Shem (Malkizedek), Ey'ver, and Abraham
(5,000-4,000 B.C.E.), this cryptic body of cosmic wisdom has puzzled sages
for millennia. Rabbi Winkler will take us on a user-friendly journey across
the length and breadth of Megilat Yetzirah, as it was originally called, and
inspire us in his unique style with the life lessons and mind-expanding
mysteries that make this ancient text so alluring as well as elusive.
Schedule for 5769 (2009):
Saturday Night General Mystery Shmooze - 7 to 9 pm
Sunday Workshop on Sefer Yetzirah - 10:30 am to 5:30 pm
with ample lunch break

Miriam will be presenting at the Integral Spiritual Experience Event
December 29, 2009 – January 3, 2010, at the Asilomar Conference Center
In Pacific Grove, California
This new, groundbreaking annual gathering will be the flagship event for the Integral community worldwide.
The Integral Spiritual Experience will be co-led by cutting-edge lineage holders from virtually all the major traditions. Our goal is to meet our core responsibility and obligation as lineage holders at this pivotal point in the grand adventure of Spirit. If Spirit is to evolve, we must address the great evolutionary questions facing us, and do so with humility and creative audacity. This will be year one in a five-year cycle for this prestigious event. Each year we will address - through a different prism - one of the ultimate issues of Spirit facing the next generation.
In the first year we will be looking at these questions through the prism of the Unique Self. We will inquire deeply into the spiritual dimension of the Unique Self, its relationship to Non-dual realization, and the role Unique Self might play in the unfolding of a World Spirituality in the 21st century.
The event will be held at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. Asilomar is a tranquil ocean- front retreat center cradled by forests and white sand beaches, nestled along the shoreline of California's famed Monterrey Peninsula.
The first two days will be a gathering of Integral teachers and the leadership cadre of the International Evolutionary Spirituality and Integral communities. The second and central component of the event will be the Integral Spiritual Experience itself, which will begin on Thursday evening the 31st with an Integral New Year's Eve party and will conclude Sunday afternoon, January 3rd, 2010 at three pm. |

God: Cosmic Bell Hop, or Cosmic Cop? A Special Evening of Kabbalistic
Wisdom and Song.
Ancient Jewish teachings that grapple with the question of God's
role and/or responsibility in personal and global tragedy. Is
God on call, or on vacation? And if the latter, does God ever
check the divine voice-mail during such absences? Whatever
happened to all those dramatic "God to the rescue" miracles
we'd been inundated with via the stories of our ancestors?
Who's on first?
A rousing experience of learning, laughter, and contemplation.
